The two main ones I use are "Smart Skip", and '3 minute rule'
1. Smart Skip Strategy
The Smart Skip strategy helps me avoid getting stuck on questions that are too time-consuming. If I come across a question—that I know will take too long or that I’m not confident about, I skip it and move on immediately. I don’t randomly guess, but I also don’t waste precious minutes trying to solve something that might only drop my accuracy.
This gives me more time to focus on the medium and easy-level questions, which I have a much better chance of getting right. I believe this has a bigger impact on my score than trying to battle with the hardest questions.
2. 3-Minute Rule
I set a strict time limit of 3 minutes per question on average. I keep this in mind throughout the test. For questions that I can answer quickly, I move fast and try to save time. But if I’m approaching the 3-minute mark and still don’t have a clear path to the answer, I skip, make a best guess, and move on.
This rule helps me stay calm and in control throughout the sections, especially in DI, where it’s easy to lose track of time. It also prevents me from falling behind and rushing through the later questions, which can really hurt accuracy.
