This is absolutely off-topic, but I bought a new (used) car today and I'm excited about it. So here's a random auto thread, what car are you driving through your debt-building MBA years?



I'm going to be driving a 2004 Lincoln LS through my MBA years, and I'm hyped. I was pushing around a mid-90's camry, so it's great to have a car that looks good and performs well before I start meeting all of my classmates (who will be older and less frugal, driving nice cars!).

Driving a company car right now 2006 Pontiac G6..V6, leather, sun roof...I'm pretty surprised by how much I like it actually.

Nos: Those G6's are fast, probably fun to drive. I've never liked Pontiacs though, not exactly sure why. Still, I would gladly drive a company-owned G6 loaded up with options.

Yeah my mom had a Grand Am a few years back and I wasn't a big fan of this car so when I found out I was getting it at first I was a little hesitant(but hey it was a company car so I wasn't going to complain) but yeah so far I'm really impressed. Especially given the power and gas mileage I'm getting.

Jealous!!! My first car was an old 3 series...I've now had three cars sense then and it was light years ahead of all the other cars I've had. I've vowed that the next car I purchase will be a BMW regardless of my budget.

Mitsubishi Pinin.
A small version of the Montero.
I like that is light, small, automatic transmission (my wife is thankful to me for that), 4WD with complete gear box (I laugh at all the Mercedes and Audis slipping on the ice during the winter, and not being able to climb a little hill in summer).
But since I'll relocate for the MBA, I still don't know what I'll be driving next.

iIm with you but an '08 3.5SE here, but if things go according to my plan i'll be selling it to supplement some income since I won't be working while in school.

Its a 2008 335i E90 sedan. The car was built in Munich on June 2008 and I bought it brand new on September 2008 from a dealership in San Francisco. :-D
