I’m waitlisted by Johnson and got an offer from Ross. As an international student I’m trying to think ahead and see if the other schools I’m WLed at offer the same things Ross is currently doing?
I know each school offers a different experience and this is why I want to ask about Johnson, what do they usually do for admitted students to prep them for the fall term? For example, Ross is trying to connect me with as may alumna as possible, people who work in the same region as I am, or in my target industry, same demographic background…etc. They also have a career prep course over the summer, that would adjust me to the recruitment process in Oct/Nov.
In addition to the simple things like sending a letter and the schools flag to my home, such little things make a real difference to me and say so much about the school’s culture and environment.
So my question to admitted students, what was your journey like from being admitted so far?
Thanks!

It has been a bit underwhelming so far to be honest. There is a Slack workspace that admits were invited to. Mostly intro posts so far.
Johnson also invited admits to an admitted student event called Destination Johnson in late April. It's on campus over 2 days. Schedule is pretty vague but appears will cover everything like career services, campus tours, housing, fin aid, clubs, meeting current students/alumni, etc.
Those are the only 2 touch points since the admit call though. Maybe others have had more interaction with Johnson?

Were you admitted in R1 or R2? Ross also had a Slack channel and a similar event to visit the campus. Did they provide any channels to connect with future classmates other than the Slack channel? I'm super interested in Johnson, (was one of my top choices, unlike Ross), but with the way I see how Ross is really trying their best to woo their admits is really thoughtful and made me reconsider their program
