Question : What is the average production cost of a single x-car?

Statement (1)
(1) A total of 100 x-cars and 100 y-cars cost \$2.2 million to produce.

This does not give us any idea about individual cost of x-car & y-car.
It can be possible that
100 x-cars cost \$ 1 million & 100 y-cars cost \$ 1.2 million
100 x-cars cost \$ 1.2 million & 100 y-cars cost \$ 1 million
There are other possibilities like this, wherein we cannot conclude the cost of a x-car from statement-1.
Statement - 1 Is Not Sufficient.

Statement (2)
(2) The average x-car costs \$2,000 more to produce than the average y-car
Without the average cost of y-car we cannot arrive at the average cost of x-car
Statement - 2 Is Not Sufficient.

Taking together Statements 1 & 2
from statement 2 we know that
(average cost of x-car) x 100 + (average cost of y-car) x 100 = \$2.2 million ----------- Equation (1)
from statement 2 we know that
average cost of x-car = average cost of y-car + \$2000 ----------- Equation (2)

Solving equations (1) & (2) we can calculate the average cost of x-car. Sufficient
Therefore Option C is correct.
