If a number less than 120 is not divisible by 2, 3, 5 or 7, it is a prime number. 68 is divisible by 2, and 69 is divisible by 3 (as you can see by summing its digits). 71 is not divisible by 2, 3, 5 or 7 so it is prime.

All Primes above 3 are of the form (6n-1) or (6n+1).

In this case, 67, is of the form (6n+1), as {(6*11) + 1} = 67. So, the next prime number will be of (6n-1) form, i.e {(6*12) - 1} = 71.

Hence, the answer is 71 (C).

Since 68 is even and 69 is a multiple of 3, the next highest prime number after 67 is 71.

Answer: C
