(x + 1)/3 > 2 + (x - 1) / 4
4x + 4 > 21 + 3x
x > 17, so x = 18 option E.

To find: X =?
Solution:
(X+1)/3 ≥ 2+[(X-1)/4]
(X+1)/3 ≥ [8+(X-1)]/4
4X+4 ≥ 21+3X
X ≥ 17
The least value of X can be 17.
