Consider x as 2/10 for easy simplification.

Then 3\(x^2\) - 1.3x -0.9 becomes 3*\(\frac{4}{100}\)-1.3*\(\frac{2}{10}\)-0.9 = 12/100-2.6/10-0.9 = -104/100 = -1.04.

C is the answer.

Since x = 0.2 we have:

3(0.2^2) - 1.3(0.2) - 0.9

3 x 0.04 - 0.26 - 0.9

0.12 - 0.26 - 0.9 = -1.04

Answer: C
