Absolutely. In this 6.25<x<7.5 would mean that x = 7.

I think the OA of this question should be A.
As x is an integer it can only take value of 7

Nowhere are we told that x is an integer and that's why the OA is E.

Clearly, both statements alone are not sufficient. Reject A, B and D.

Now, before you go ahead and make equations, just think... :)

Let's say x = 7.

This value of x satisfies both statements.

Also, if x = 6.99999 or x = 7.00001 .... these value too satisfy both the statements.

Hence, no way we can get a unique value of x.

Option E.
