y=mx+c
14= 2/3 * 6 + c
c = 10
y=0
0=2/3*x+10
x=-15

Slope is given
y = 2/3 * x + c

14 = 2/3 * 6 + c

c = 10

Now to find x -intercept, y will be 0

2/3 * x = -10
x = - 15

Answer A

First we determine the equation of line k, in slope-intercept form, as:

y = (2/3)x + b

We use the ordered pair (6, 14) to determine the value of b. We substitute 6 for x and 14 for y:

14 = (2/3) * 6 + b

14 = 4 + b

10 = b

The equation of line k is: :

y = (2/3)x + 10

Since the x-intercept is the point where y = 0, we have:

0 = (2/3)x + 10

-10 = 2x/3

-30 = 2x

-15 = x

Answer: A
