In such questions, I believe it is best if we simplify the statements (1/20 % = 1/20 of 1%)

1% of 4000 = 40
1/20 of 40 = 2

so 400 - 2 = 398

(1/10)*4000 - (1/20*100)*4000
=400 - 2
= 398

Always remember: Whenever you are given a percentage, simply divide the number by 100
1/20% of 4000 = 4000/(20*100) = 2
1/10 of 4000 = 4000/10 = 400

The answer is D

\(1/20% of 4000\)
=\((1/20*100)*4000\)=2

\((1/10)of 4000\)=400

400-2 =398
