When should I take the GMAT test if I want to get into a B-School directly after my B.E? I was thinking of giving it during my winter vacations, i.e in December. Or should I take the GMAT when closer to the end of B.E i.e in between Feb-April. In May, we have finals. Any ideas or suggestions?
If I were you I would finish it off during my vacation. But what schools are you targetting post BE? Most B-Schools would require you to have a minimum of two years of work-ex before you apply. Either way, your GMAT score is valid for 5 years!

If I were you I would taste the "cruelty" of work place before starting Bschool, for at least one year and in meantime prep yourself for GMAT.
I'd also probably advise you get some work experience first, if anything for purely economic reasons. If you wanted to do a masters in finance you should probably take the test end of the summer, mid September. If you wanted to wait until next year then do it whenever.
