Possibly, but I am concerned about your GPA given that those UK-based programs are highly popular and, thus, selective. LBS feels much harder for you than Oxford or Cambridge.

Worth a shot, but you'll have to somehow proactively address the GPA in your optional essay. You have a good GMAT score, so that will definitely help.

Hi Guys,

I’m a Vietnamese 30 year-old-guy with low GPA (2.96)
I sat on GMAT exam a month ago and got 720
Currently, I am assistant manager for an multinational Life insurance company, managing its fund with AUM Us$ 350m. I have been a teacher for a center teaching CFA program since 2018 and have established an equity fund since 2015. I”ve also been an CFA charter holder since 2017
My whole life, i always want to become an investor like Warren Buffett. That is the reason I pursuit CFA program. However, during 2017, my fund underperformed, making me question myself that whether CFA is enough. The answer is simply not. With CFA, I can analyze the financial statement of targeted companies but what i need is more than several numbers appeared in their financial statements. What is need is the understanding of the business of those companies. Therefore, I want to pursuit MBA program.
My target schools are NUS, Cambridge and some Us schools. But frankly, I do not know which schools are strong in investment fields.
Can you guys help?
The 2nd deadline is coming.
Thanks for your supports
Regards

Hi there,
An MBA in finance prepares you in various subjects, such as costing, management accounting and control, budgeting, international finance, banking, privatization, capital management, etc. The course will emphasize various aspects of financial theories, identification of best managerial practices in the area.
You can find a list of top MBA programs in Finance here: https://www.aringo.com/mba-finance-specialization/

I think as per the placements records the top MBA Programs for Equity Analysts as a career would be the following;

1. IIM Ahmedabad – For its top finance curriculum and strong connections with financial firms.
2. IIM Calcutta – Its focus on quantitative finance is ideal for technical roles in equity analysis.
3. ISB Hyderabad – Offers global exposure and a strong curriculum in finance and investment banking.
4. FMS Delhi – A strong focus on finance with excellent placement opportunities in equity research.
5. SPJIMR Mumbai – Location in Mumbai and finance specialization make it a great choice for equity analysts.
But do understand that even though you get into these platforms you still have to build on your profile like parallel preparation for cfa exams and learning skills like financial modeling

I don't think you need an MBA for that. Check the syllabus of an MBA program, where do you see it as specialised investment program. The CFA content had more about investment finance than an Mba can ever offer. My suggestion would be to get an industry mentor rather than looking for this answer in courses.
