1995 -> 50%*716 = 358
1996 -> 55%*1108 = 50%*1108+5%*1108= 554+55.4=609.4
1997 -> 60%*1520 = 912
1998 -> 35%*2240 = (30%*2240)+ 5%*2240= 784

In order to answer this question, we need to compute the number of boys who attended the program for each of the years i.e. 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998.
For 1995 no. of boys =50/100 * 716 = 358
1996: no. of boys =55/100 * 1108 = 610
1997: no. of boys =60/100 * 1520 = 912
1998: no. of boys =35/100 * 3927 = 786
Arranged in descending order of no. of boys who attended for the years;
1997(912)>1998(786)>1996(610)>1995(358)
Hence the two years with the least no. of boys in attendance are 1995 and 1996.
The answer is therefore A.
