I just gave a veritas prep mock and scored a 650? How accurate are these and why are they scored out of 60 and not 51?. Is there any chart that I can refer to for conversion?.

Hi tangokilo23,
The GMAT exam doesn't use the full scale (it uses only the 6-51 range), but any competent test prep provider would be aware of that. So even if you see 0-60 on those tests, you're not looking at a different scale, and your practice tests will report scores on the 6-51 scale. All this is to say that you don't need to worry about score 'conversion'.
You should keep in mind, though, that non-official practice tests are unlikely to be as good as official practice tests. Good non-official practice tests can be helpful, and you can use them, but you should try not to compare score estimates across test providers.

Even the GMAT is 'scored out of 60', though 51 is the maximum possible score. (There's no good explanation for why the scoring is like this.)
