Hi, I'm a 29yo Asian female from NZ who grew up in Singapore. I'd appreciate getting some feedback on my profile to assess my chances of getting into Harvard, INSEAD, London Business School and Yale and maybe Wharton.

I've got a 1st class honors in Marketing and Psychology, did an exchange to Italy, and have a GMAT score of 740 (50Q 40V). Bilingual in English and Mandarin, beginner Italian and French.

7 years marketing work experience:
    2 years with an international shoe manufacturer and retailer managing marketing and communications for 27 stores across Australia and Hong Kong.
    4 years with a tile importer distributor and retailer where I basically built their entire marketing department foundation
    1 year with a liquor retailer developing their digital marketing strategy and leading a cross-functional team and building a brand new ecommerce platform and fulfillment system (they had never done ecommerce before)

Goals: To move into strategic consulting and relocate to possibly Europe or Asia - I'd been setting myself up for going into marketing consulting before but I realised I liked working across all the business functions, not just marketing. Long term I'd like to run a firm that acquires small businesses in trouble and turns them around.

Outside work:
    Board member for ME/CFS charity board
    Figure skater - have competed as an individual and synchronised team member; have also coached figure skating
    Aerial silk artiste - have performed in a paid production
    Started up a part-time wedding hire business and still running it
    Was an organising committee member for organising a HK festival promoting business and intercultural relations between NZ and HK

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your profile. Bottom line is I think you've got a lot of strengths, and you'll be a very competitive applicant. Your experience living / working in different countries will definitely be a plus. And it sounds like you've had some pretty cool accomplishments in your marketing career too, and had some great progression in your responsibilities. Your GMAT / academics seem great too. And lots of interesting things going on outside of work too! Only potential concern is with 7 years, you're just slightly towards the high end of experience. I don't think this should be an issue with INSEAD, Wharton, LBS, and Yale, as long you clearly explain why you need your MBA now, but I think it could make Harvard an even bigger stretch for you. It's a stretch for nearly everyone and it's typically even tougher for applicants close to 30 and above. I think you could still give it a shot, but just know it's a bigger risk than the other programs you mention. All of those seem like great fits and I think they'll all really value your global perspective. INSEAD is really strong in consulting, especially in Europe, so that may be a great option for you.
