You can do this. (Obviously we are talking about the test center based test).
You can also do this during the “registration” time that goes over your personal info, schools, etc. You can draw a grid and whatever other tools or helpful information you may need for the test. You can also make notes during a break but you may lose your old scratchpad if you leave during the break and get a new one after you come back.
I personally like that you’re starting with IR and AWA. In my observation, it seems many perform better on the test after they do a warm-up with those two sections. Coming in cold into verbal or Quant seems to often be a not as successful result...

Have read a couple of debriefs in which people say that by the time Quant and Verbal (in the cases where they take Q/V, V/Q, IR, AWA order) are completed, they get exhausted to focus on IR and AWA sections. Will try with IR and AWA section. I always preferred starting with Verbal section.
