1. School Selection and Candidacy Evaluation - I will help the client pick the appropriate MBA
programs to apply to. By appropriate I mean programs that make sense for the client’s background
and strengths. Sometimes the client “knows” what schools they want to apply to. However a
discussion is warranted to draw out exactly how well the client is suited to the culture and profile of
the desired school.
2. Personal Branding - This is a discussion that describes exactly who a client is as an applicant to the
various business schools. It is used to guide the client, maintains consistency and creates a
"personal brand" for use when crafting essays. While many of the components are contained in this
document, this discussion directly applies your background to the selected schools.
3. Essays - I dissect the school specific essay questions for the client. That is I tell them what the
essay questions are really asking. After a discussion on this, the client knows what points they need
to hit on to craft a persuasive essay. They also know the correct structure in which to craft their
essay. We go through several iterations/drafts. The drafts are then reviewed by other MBA students
and alumni who critique the essays for content, grammar, style and structure.
4. Resume - I will help the client craft a business school resume. This type of resume is not the same
as a resume that one would use when applying for a position. I help the client put their relevant
experience into terms and a format that is readily digestible by the Admissions Committee.
5. Letters of Recommendation - I provide guidance on how to write letters of rec. I describe what
elements a recommender will need to address is an appropriate recommendation. I also discuss who
to approach, how and with what documentation. A lot of good recommendations are ruined by a
recommender who does not know what to write or have time to write.
6. Review of Final Submission Package - I will review your final submission package in the final days
before you submit to the school. This makes sure that all parts of the application are consistent. This
is, in effect, making sure all the t's are crossed and the i's dotted. The potential to drop the ball here
is huge. What may seem like a trivial application question can be a test in consistency across all
parts of the application.
7. School Interaction Guidance - I will help the client schedule visits and interaction with the school.
This includes information sessions, specific class visits, interaction with alumni. This gets the client's
name out there and in the minds of the Admissions Committee members. They can then put the
application with the name when it comes to decision time.
8. Mock Interview - I was an admission interviewer. I will conduct a mock interview with the client,
provide coaching on the questions and then provide general feedback on the client's presence.
9. Waitlist guidance – Should the client be waitlisted at any of their programs, I follow up with guidance
on additional recommendations, school interaction, communication timelines and protocol. Every
effort is made to ensure the client moves to the top of the waitlist, off of the waitlist and into the
program.

- All Instructors must have scored a 99th percentile overall on the official GMAT (currently a 760+). They also must have prior teaching experience in order to be considered.
- All Instructors must undergo a rigorous audition process to be extended an offer – in 2009, we had over 500 applicants for teaching positions. After various initial stages of screening, we flew 99 of them to New York for final auditions at our expense. Out of those 99 final round candidates, we hired just 16, for a yield of 16% of those we saw in-person (approximately 3% of total applicants). After being hired, Instructors then undergo a 100+ hour training process before being allowed to see students.
- In order to attract and retain the best teachers, we pay $100/hour for all teaching assignments, plus bonuses. This is up to 4 times the industry standard, and the highest in the industry.
- Content-Based Curriculum
We believe that the best GMAT curriculum should provide students familiarity with the math, grammar, and analytical principles that the GMAT tests. Accordingly, we strive to re-teach students the 8th and 9th grade math tested on the GMAT as well as the grammar and logic that many students may never have studied. Other GMAT test prep programs on the market focus on teachable methods, such as “process of elimination” and "backsolving" techniques. By entering into this drawing and replying in this thread, you Accept and Agree to the following terms and conditions:
- This promotion starts on September 1st at 0:01 AM PST and ends on September 30th at 11:59 PM PST

- Only one prize per person; if a winner claims one prize, they will not be eligible for others. A member may forfeit a prize to be in the running for other prizes. For example, if a person wins one of the 10th Place prizes, he/she will not be considered for any other prizes. The member, however, can forfeit the prize and will be included in the drawing on the next day of drawing if their input was received before 12 AM Midnight Pacific. If the forfeit response is received after 12 AM midnight, the response will be considered only for the day after
- Winners of prizes 1 - 7 will be asked to provide a first name and a photo to be posted
- For all users who have been registered less than 1 year from October 1st, a maximum of 10 posts per day will count towards the offer, thus at most 300 chances will be given based on posts. Users who have been GMAT Club members for longer than 1 year, every post will count.
- Must have a valid email address & be able to receive emails from GMAT Club
- Test prep and admissions consulting company employees, agents, or representatives are not eligible to participate
- All IP addresses will be registered and checked to verify posts and kudos; all winners will be verified
- All prizes are intended for the recipient and are not transferable under any circumstances
- The recipient will have 7 days to claim their prize. If we are not able to receive a confirmation from you within 7 days, anything you won, may be given away at another random drawing
- Flights: flight must originate and terminate in a city served by a Star Alliance(TM) Airline. Flights must be booked by 1/31/2011 and flown by 1/30/2012. The winner is responsible for any local taxes associated with the flight (usually under $100 but sometimes higher). All efforts will be made to accommodate the schedule and flight availability. If First Class cabin is not available, a booking in business class will be made; if business class cabin is not available, a booking in Economy will be made; if no flights are available, the winner will receive $1,000 US via PayPal or check. Airline tickets will be issued by United Airlines and flights must be booked into a United Airlines O-First, I-Business, or X-Economy booking codes. All tickets will be booked via mileage awards and will not accrue mileage credit; maximum of 160,000 united miles may be used for redemption, see chart here for details.
Hotel: Hotel stay will be booked in a 4 or 5 star hotel within a reasonable area of the school to be visited.
Car: Winner will receive $100 via PayPal (winner responsible for any fees associated with money transfer/exchange)
General: If travel plans change, the winner will be responsible for any change fees, if any, associated with changing/modifying flights or hotel reservations after the initial booking. - iPad Prizes: Please allow up to 4 weeks for shiping and delivery. Cost of iPad shipping to locations outside of the US is not included; winner will be responsible for covering shipping and any customs charges; alternatively winner may choose to receive the cash equivalent of the iPad.
- GMAT Club reserves full rights for any reason to make determinations on winner, switch prizes or cancel for any reason
- Unless a date specifically stated, all prizes must be used/redeemed within 12 months or otherwise they will be void

A: Very simple - reply to this thread by clicking "Register" or "Reply" buttons - you will automatically be entered into the drawing. A: Please see the schedule at the bottom of the original post for the exact schedule. The prizes will be raffled in reverse order (10, 9, 8, etc) starting on October 1st. The winner of the first prize will be determined on October 12th.Q: Does the person with the most points win the grand prize?
A: Not necessarily. The prizes will be determined by a random drawing. Imagine a hat (Ok, a very very large hat), and every member will be throwing their name into it, every time they make a post or receive Kudos. The more times your name is thrown into the hat, the more chances you will have to win one of the prizes. You will have more chances, but not a guarantee. We felt this was a more fair option to those who participate quite a bit and also those who may be short on time in September. There is a total of 375 prizes. Anyone could win one of the 374 prizes. However, the last one, a bonus iPad for ToolKit users, is available exclusively to GMAT toolkit users, requires a separate registration, and is not dependent on participation.Q: Can I win multiple prizes?
A: No. We have structured this promotion very similarly to business school application - you can't attend multiple schools and thus you can't win multiple prizes. However, you can opt not to receive a prize in order to stay in the running for other, potentially more valuable prizes. For example, if you won one of our tests (Prize #9, winners announced on October 4), you can choose to decline this prize and will continue to be considered for prizes drawn on the following day (October 5th). You will be included in the drawing the day after you have declined the prize.Q: What happens to the prizes that were declined by winners?
A: In addition to winners, on the day of the draw, we will also announce an official waitlist. Since participants have an option to decline a prize, we don't want to leave it unclaimed. Those who are on a waitlist will have an opportunity to be considered for other prizes as well, until they accept a prize or win another. Winning another prize will take them off the waitlist, unless they, in turn, decline it.Q: How do I get points/chances/ to win?
A: For every post your make, up to 10 posts per day, you will receive 1 point, which equals to 1 chance to win, so a maximum of 10 points/chances per day. Also, for every Kudos point you receive, you will get 5 points/chances.
