Hi,

If you intend to apply in top 30 b-schools then must write GMAT again and aim for 680+. The schools you've mentioned have avg. GMAT range between 600-730, so you have no other option but to write it again. For GMAT preparations, you should devote 3-4 hrs. everyday and write mock tests twice a week. This way you’ll be able to analyze your weaknesses and then work upon them. To try your chances in b-school(s), click https://www.apphelp.co.in/b-school-selector.php

Let me know in case of further queries.

Regards
Erina

Hello,
Today I had my GMAT and secured 570 only (Q49,V20).
I have work experience of 1.7 years as Test Enngineer at Infosys (still working).
I have very good business exposure as I help, work in my father's business and active working from past 5 years.
My graduate aggregate is 79% out of 100%.
My target is Full Time MBA 2014 in US top 30 B school.
Can anyone please help me do I still have chances to enter top B-schools (forget top 10,20. I am talking about Carlson,Kelley, Wisconsin Madison, etc kind of)?

Or else attempting GMAT again is the only option.

I would take the GMAT again, you've only been working for 1.7 years, and so you're still young in terms of MBA students. I would spend around another year studying, and you're bound to see at least a 30 point increase. This should better your odds, and the additional year of work will improve your overall portfolio for sure.

Thanks for the reply. Yes even I am planning to attempt GMAT again but not immediately. I am taking a gap of 45 days again for my preparation and meanwhile I'm planning to sketch my essays also. By th time I give my GMAT (Say July end), I'll also be ready with my essays and even if I score less than before, it may not effect my time. Please tell me how is this plan and is it really worth a plan??
