I bought the Barron's test prep book a while back but found that I wasn't making much progress, so I bought the E-GMAT full course a little while ago. I'm making my way through some quant material and only just now learned that the course requires you to ALSO buy the official guide to take their quizzes. I'm in a tight spot because I'm an undergrad right now, taking the GMAT at the end of this summer so I can apply for the HBS 2+2, and I pretty much can't afford the OG along with rent, food, etc.
Essentially I'm wondering if any of you have been able to have positive experiences using E-GMAT without the OG.

I did this for the verbal course since I found it to be very irritating to open OG and look for questions there, just copy the og question in quiz and hit pause, now google search it, the first result would be from gmat club where you'll find the question with the answer choices. Open it.
Go back to the other tab, unpause the timer, switch back to the gmatclub tab, attempt the question, go back and select whatever option you want.
It sounds time consuming but you'll get used to it pretty soon. It used to take me only +5 seconds on each question to do it without constantly having to open my og for every question.
