Well I submitted on the 25th - its now the middle of November and many of the posters on the forum have gotten invited for Rd. 1 submits - not looking good for me. I know they say they do invites late into the round but I was hoping to hear something relatively soon.

My app has all of the transcripts and rec's put together so I think they may have reviewed it by now.

The waiting after you submit is awful - I know rhyme can definitely relate.

Oh yes, it sure is awful. Absolutely awful.

If you want to toss me an essay or two, I'd be happy to review it.

See PM. I'm lost as to how this kind of quality didn't garner an interview.

OasisNYK,
this is entirely my personal opinion so take it for what it is. If you have a solid background -which I'm sure you do based on rhyme's post, then try not to worry (I know easier said than done). Based on how quickly Yale sent out some invites, I think they must have some kind of a sorting process - like based on GMATS, GPA most likly. Then while 2nd year students are interviewing those who met the original criteria, AdCom is spending time actually reading applications and extending interviews as they finish reading the applications.

Also, I don't think that there is any advantage in being the first to interview because their process does not seem to be rolling. So don't worry if you did not get an invite yet - it does not mean you will not get it ever. It also does not mean that your chances are neceserily worse than those of a guy that already interviewed/got invited to do so.

Good luck!
