Would love to hear your thoughts around my relatively standard background.
Basic demographic info:
Age: 26
Gender/Nationality: Asian Male (Native to US)
Educational Background:
Undergrad Major: Economics (Minor in Film) at UCLA
GPA: 3.55 (Cumulative)
GMAT: 690 (Q48 V36; retaking in 2 weeks and shooting for 720-740)
Work experience:
1.5 years Consultant at mid-market tech consulting firm doing organizational change management (Aerospace and Telecommunications clients)
1 year Business Insights Analyst in web analytics (Disney Interactive - online media)
1.8 years Business Analyst in Demand Planning (current role at Electronic Arts - video games industry)
Extracurriculars:
2+ years Big Brothers Big Sisters (Big Brother - Mentor)
1 year Taproot Foundation (Pro-Bono Consultant as the lead data analyst on a Program Measurement project for a non-profit dealing with homeless and low-income families)
Starting UCLA Riordan MBA Fellows Program in 1 month
Goals:
Interested in product marketing/brand management (interested in companies such as Nike, Adidas, Underarmour, Microsoft)
Schools I'm considering:
I'm aiming to apply to 4 schools in R2. I have decided that I will definitely be applying to Duke Fuqua and Michigan Ross.
For the last 2 schools, I am considering Chicago Booth, Northwestern Kellogg, Dartmouth Tuck and Yale SOM. Depending on my GMAT retake, I will decide which 2 schools here I have the best shot at.
