Pushed Me to Aim Higher, Got Into HBS

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I started the MBA application process feeling nervous about how overwhelming it might be. From day one, Scott and his team made everything feel organized and achievable. They provided a clear roadmap, kept me on track, and pushed me to apply to schools I would have considered out of reach. Their essay guidance helped me tell my story authentically, and their interview prep gave me confidence walking into the room. The level of personal attention they provide is unmatched and they genuinely care about my outcome. Thanks to their support, I was admitted to HBS, which I never would have believed possible at the start. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants expert guidance and a partner who’s fully invested in their success.

Review of Personal MBA Coach

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Working with Scott Edinburgh and the Personal MBA Coach team during the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 was one of the best decisions I made during my MBA application journey. Scott was more than just a consultant—he was a mentor, coach, and a steady source of support throughout the entire process.

From GRE tutoring and resume refinement to deep, thoughtful essay editing and interview prep, Scott was by my side every step of the way. He helped me discover and elevate my unique voice—something that truly made my application stand out across every school I applied to, including Yale SOM, Columbia Business School, HBS, Stanford GSB, Wharton, MIT Sloan, and Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

What impressed me most was his ability to deeply understand my story and help me craft a persuasive, cohesive, and authentic narrative. He never imposed a generic mold but instead empowered me to highlight what made me different. His strategic insight and sharp attention to detail made the overwhelming application process structured and manageable. Even down to the application forms, Scott’s guidance was meticulous and reassuring.

Scott's exceptional mentorship enabled me to secure acceptance to the Yale School of Management, fulfilling a lifelong dream. I am immensely grateful to him and would recommend the Personal MBA Coach team to anyone who wants not just to apply but to excel in the MBA admissions process.

Scott is an exceptional coach. He and his team gave me the resources, knowledge, and confidence to craft an application that I was proud of. Coming from a technical background with a modest GPA and test scores, I was hesitant about the prospect of applying to top MBA programs. Scott and his team quickly alleviated that concern with motivation that helped me build confidence in myself. From sharpening my MBA goals to interview prep, Scott and his team were there every step of the way! Scott is a really great person; his advice is genuine, personalized, self-reflective, thoughtful, and he really wants to see you succeed! In the end, I was admitted to one of my dream schools in R3 with $ and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t think I could have navigated the process on my own. Investing in Personal MBA Coach was the best decision I could have made. If you’re looking for an admissions consultant, I can’t recommend Scott and his team enough! Scott, thank you for everything – you rock!

Scott and his team are simply fantastic. I applied to Deferred MBA programs and couldn’t be happier with my decision to work with Personal MBA. From start to finish, I felt incredibly supported. I always knew I could reach out to Scott with any question, and he always had the answers (seriously, he knows EVERYTHING!). I ultimately got into CBS, my dream school, and I truly don't think I could have done it without him! His feedback was always sharp, honest, and actionable, and his confidence in my story gave me the belief I needed at every step. Highly, highly recommend!

Five stars! I cannot recommend Scott and the Personal MBA Coach team enough. I was admitted into an M7 school and another one of my top choices with significant scholarship funds. They were real partners who walked with me and my brother each step of the MBA admissions journey. Scott was one of the only consultants I spoke with who truly believed in me and who I knew would be available when it mattered most. He took the time to understand my background and was a great thought partner when finalizing my school list. His team was extremely organized, super responsive, and pushed me to craft a compelling narrative. Even when it was difficult to balance work, exam preparation and essay writing, Scott kept a positive attitude that motivated me to keep grinding. The team was also clutch during interview preparation. The questions and prep sessions instilled confidence for the interviews. I cannot express enough how amazing Scott and his team were at critical times. I highly recommend Scott to anyone who wants to work with a consultant who will keep you on track and give you the best shot at getting into your desired schools.

I worked with Scott on a package for five schools—all M7—and was accepted to every one of them. Overall, I applied to 11 schools, received interview invitations from 10, and was accepted to 9. The only two schools I was rejected from were the ones I didn’t work on with him.

Scott provided clear, strategic guidance that helped me shape compelling short- and long-term goals. His essay editing process, in particular, pushed me to be deeply introspective—it challenged me to reflect on my experiences, values, and motivations in a way that not only strengthened my application but helped me grow as a candidate and person.

His team was especially valuable during interview prep—shoutout to Jacqueline for being fantastic. His process is straightforward, efficient, and he was incredibly accommodating when I had less than four weeks to submit Round 2 applications.

With his support, I received a full scholarship to my second-choice school and was admitted to my top choice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Excellent coach who believes in you!

Scott is a fantastic coach. He gave me the confidence to reach for schools I didn't believe I could get int to. Once I had the confidence, he provided me with all the tools I needed to achieve my goals.
I was able to get into most of my target schools and was offered scholarships at many of them, including the school I now attend, so it is definitely worth the investment!
I loved the structured approach to writing essays, making applying to the six schools I did not feel as daunting. He reminds you of important things like how to approach letters of recommendation and interviews.

Booth Admit

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Scott and his team delivered beyond my expectations. Firstly, GMAT was a major stress point; Scott has some great tutors working with him, and I was able to get 730 - much higher than I thought would be possible. Their tailored approach to GMAT prep, combined with intensive practice, was crucial to my success.

Secondly, I got admitted to Chicago Booth, which seemed like a dream at the start. Initially, I was searching for the easier route, considering less competitive schools. However, Scott was insistent that it would be a big mistake and that I should aim as high as possible. His encouragement pushed me to set more ambitious goals.

Finally, he and his team helped craft my story and secure the desired admission to Chicago Booth.
