A difference maker

Scott and his team have been a game-changer in my applications to specialized master programs. I received support for the entire application process: choosing schools, preparing for the GMAT, clarifying my goals, writing the essays, preparing for video questions and interviews. Scott and his team always got back to me very quickly, and found a brilliant way to put forward my personal story, qualities and background through applications. I was surprised by how much support I received over and above essay editing. Working with PMC also meant I was less stressed about applications. I would strongly recommend Scott and Personal MBA Coach!

I really enjoyed working with Scott and his team! Communication was fast and efficient, especially during the essay editing process, which helped keep all my applications on track. The brainstorming sessions I had directly with Scott were incredibly insightful and helped me develop a much stronger and more cohesive narrative. With the support of Personal MBA Coach, I was admitted to top M7 MBA programs. Their consistent encouragement and strategic feedback gave me much more confidence throughout the entire admissions journey. I’d highly recommend Scott and his team to anyone looking for responsive, thoughtful, and highly effective MBA admissions guidance.

Excellent Service

If you’ve made the decision to apply for your MBA, I highly recommend choosing Personal MBA Coach as your consultant.

One of the more difficult pieces of the process was creating my story of “Why MBA? Why Now?” (something every program has heavily emphasized). Working personally with Scott to form that narrative was one of the best decisions I made. He had great insights into what would resonate with the different schools I applied to and had no reservations in letting me know which of my ideas he thought would work and which wouldn’t.

The application process itself is a long and overwhelming process, so having them provide a structured framework for managing your essays, letters of recommendation, and other tasks was invaluable for me.

When it came time for interviews, they provided practice interviewers with experiences uniquely suited to the schools I was applying to. Their relevant and direct feedback was instrumental in my success in those interviews.

I can safely say that my success in my application process was, in part, attributable to Personal MBA’s Coach’s help. If you’re on the fence about bringing a consultant on board, I would recommend scheduling an initial consultation.

Fantastic Services

Scott and Andrew are the best. They spent hours helping me comb through my professional career to identify the best moments and anecdotes before beginning any services. They were extremely involved throughout the application process for all schools, regularly checking in and happy to pick up the phone randomly for 10 minutes to talk through an essay. They are highly competent, so throughout the entire process I felt like at ease and confident in their opinions. I enjoyed the whole process and believe they are well worth the money, as they exceeded my already high expectations for them! I would recommend them to anyone serious about getting into top grad schools.

I would strongly recommend anyone to use Scott and his team. Every step of the process was clearly guided, organized, and thoughtful, which made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel manageable and structured. Scott provided valuable insight, honest feedback, and constant support throughout, always making himself available when needed. His team was equally responsive and detail-oriented, ensuring nothing slipped through the cracks. I truly don’t think I would have been admitted without his help, as his expertise made a significant difference in how I presented my application. Working with them was one of the best decisions I made during this process.

Highly Recommend — Outstanding Experience

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by waiver or admit report [?]

I can’t recommend Personal MBA Coach enough. Scott and his team were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and supportive throughout the entire business school application process.

What really stood out was how streamlined and well-organized their systems and processes are. It feels like a finely tuned machine—no wasted effort, no confusion, just clear guidance at every step. They dramatically reduced the stress and uncertainty that normally comes with applying to top business schools.

The mentorship was invaluable. From strategy to execution, they made a complex and overwhelming process feel manageable and even enjoyable. I genuinely believe I would not have been admitted to my number one business school choice without their guidance and support.

If you’re serious about business school and want clarity, structure, and expert mentorship, Personal MBA Coach is absolutely worth it. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering an MBA or executive program.

From Getting Rejected By All Schools To Cracking M7

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Last year, I was dinged from all the schools I had applied to. I had worked with a top Indian-based consulting firm, but after that experience, I honestly lost hope of getting into an M7. Being an Indian male with all my experience in e-commerce companies within India — and not from the typical consulting or finance background — I knew it was going to be tough. Still, I believed that working with a U.S.-based consultant could make a difference, especially in understanding my story and communicating it in a way that would connect with the schools.

That’s when I came across Scott through a mutual friend who had gotten into Wharton. My initial call with Scott was warm and gave me the confidence to go ahead and work with him. The process started with a detailed form to help him understand my background, followed by long, thoughtful calls to strategically shape my goals and story. For each school, we had multiple calls and email discussions that brought immense clarity to how I should approach every essay. He has utmost clarity on how to approach the content for each school and it is not one size fits all. He has a strong team of editors and interviewers that gave me huge confidence in this process.

I was also shared relevant sample essays from profiles similar to mine, which helped me get an idea of what works. There were several back-and-forth iterations with the editors to fine-tune my essays and by the end I honestly couldn’t believe it was my own story. The essays felt perfectly structured, authentic, and in complete harmony — which was lacking in my previous essays.

Beyond essays, I got help with my resume, short answers, video essay preparation and even the smallest application details for each school. It was a true end-to-end experience — from story formulation and positioning to content refinement and final submission. Compared to my earlier experience with the Indian firm, this was on a completely different level.

After receiving my interview invites, I was given a set of relevant questions and mock interviews with actual former interviewers from the respective schools. That really helped me prepare with confidence and clarity. Their feedback really helped me crack my 40 minute long interview at Kellogg with the admissions team.

Overall, Scott is someone who knows exactly how to position your story and strategy, bring out your best, and help you create powerful, authentic essays. And once you get an interview invite, you’ll be trained by people who’ve actually interviewed for those schools. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone seriously aiming for the M7.

I worked with Scott Edinburgh at Personal MBA Coach and had a very strong experience. Scott is extremely efficient, direct, and focused on results. There was no generic advice or unnecessary busywork, every discussion had a clear purpose. He helped me clarify my overall application strategy, sharpen my narrative, and position my experience in a way that made sense for a top EMBA program. His feedback was honest, practical, and easy to act on, which made the process much more manageable alongside a full-time job. With Scott’s guidance, I was accepted into the Wharton Executive MBA. If you are serious about top MBA or EMBA admissions and want clear, effective guidance, I highly recommend working with Scott.

Admission To Five M7 Schools (With Scholarships)!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I highly recommend working with Scott and team!! From the very start, Scott helped me develop my personal narrative and set myself up for admissions success. He helped me realize the importance of being able to quantify and explain the impact of my extracurriculars and pushed me to achieve even more that would give me meaningful experience and continue to develop a well-rounded profile. As a procrastinator trying to juggle test prep, applications to many schools, and a hectic work schedule, Scott’s process and outline of deadlines was critical to making sure I had everything prepared in time. My essay editor from Scott’s team, Sybil, was an incredible thought partner in developing the stories I wanted to tell while making sure to protect my authentic voice and the messages I wanted to get across. I would not have reached the number of acceptances and scholarship I received without their support!

Strong ROI

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Big picture: entering this journey, I didn't know where to apply. Now, I am confident that I put my best foot forward, submitting essays and test scores that I'm proud of, applied to great schools that were the right fit for me, and have gotten into most of them with multiple scholarship offers. While Personal MBA Coach is undoubtedly expensive, I have paid for this service four times over in merit scholarship from my top school with Scott's assistance. He told me early that this would be the case, and I didn't believe him. I had an unremarkable college GPA and come from a privileged enough background that I'd be ineligible for financial aid. My only advice is to start as early as you can!
