I am an award-winning Korean Super Model, the first place of the Korean Super Model Competition in 2003, and I am currently enrolled in MBA program at the MIT Sloan School of Management. I am very glad to share my experiences of hitting Q51 and enter MIT. Just trust Math Revolution and follow what they guide you. You can imagine that I have never had any mathematical background in my life and career.

I worked as a model in mainly Asian countries after winning the award, I continued my career as a model in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London after moving to New York in 2006. While modeling, I studied in fashion business management in Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and built my career participating in various marketing projects as a fashion trend analyst in a New York-based fashion company after graduation.

Starting off as a fashion model, I had been building stable career as well as various experiences in fields reaching from marketing to general fashion until I decided to apply for MIT Sloan Management. This is because I felt the need to become more professional in management skills and big data analysis for digital marketing in order to become a professional manager, and MIT Sloan Management is cut out for my roadmap.

However, I felt most pressured by the fact that I had to get a high GMAT score in a short period of time in order to get into Sloan, a school considered top among others. Achieving academic results in GMAT Math after studying briefly was especially more challenging for me since I had always been working in the fields that were qualitative rather than quantitative. I have not solved any single math questions for many many years. Also, I realized that GMAT Math requires not the notions like those of math tests in high school, but solely the mathematical logic.

As studying felt difficult for me, I came to know Max Lee (Math Revolution) who is already too well known among people whose challenge to top MBAs. Ever since then, I have seen many cases where he promised high scores in GMAT Math by guiding people like me to easily solve problems in a completely different way from those of GMAT preps provided by GMAT official guides in the research process.

Although I was not fully convinced at first, I tried “Trial Pack” for the first two weeks and asked questions through e-mail every time there was an answer I was not fully sure about. Math Revolution Team not only gave me quick and clear replies to my questions but also gave me study guides that I could follow. Study guide helped me a lot in studying effectively while keeping my original career in fashion. Among others, it was an earth-shattering experience to go through very unique approaches in solving math problems I have never seen. Especially, Variable approach for DS was very amazing, time-saving and very efficient as if I was opening my eyes to a whole new world. Soon after, there became growing faith in him and I purchased courses offered by him.

The fact that Max Lee not only simply enabled me to better solve problems but also taught me logics to think mathematically was not comparable to any other already existing method. Also, the more I understood the logics of GMAT MATH, the less time it took to solve each problem. Against this backdrop, my scores got higher in a short period of time at a pace that surprised even me.

After studying under the tutelage of Math Revolution, I got in to MIT Sloan School of Management with the score of Q51. GMAT math requires basic math skills but more logical skills

What I truly want to say to every reader of this is that although there are many ways to get a high score such as changing your life style, tailoring your way of approach, and so on, the most important thing is that you must never forget your goals and dreams (‘Why do I need this score?’ ‘what am I studying for?’) and must stay eager to study. This is the shortcut to a higher score.
Your dream can come true if you dream and act.

I hope this helps out a lot, especially those of you who want to get an MBA but do not feel confident enough to challenge because of notorious quant. I support every bit of your challenge.
Again, thanks a lot to Max Lee and his math research team for all the supports.

Hello miss Kim. I was interested in knowing the details of the quant course you took for the gmat. Please also post a link to the quant course if possible. Thanks for the amazing and inspiring review.

Thanks for the query. I receive similar questions here and there. I write this in detail for everyone who wants to know this. I took All-In-One 51 course for 3 months. I followed the instructions very well. I started learning "Math Review" videos to build math basic skills.

After that, I mainly focused on learning Variable approach for DS and IVY approach for PS through DS+PS videos. They are very unique and helped me save significant time in solving problems. Especially, DS was very amazing. It is hard to explain. If you use the Trial Pack at their site. You will understand it better. Just trust their unique theory and approach.

Once I felt comfortable with their approaches, I solved Official Guide and other provided video material using the approaches I learned. Of course, I could not hit Q51 quickly. In fact, I had to stop studying due to very busy work schedule and resumed the study again. I was very surprised that my score have improved to Q45 level in a very short period of time.

Improving from Q45 to Q51 took another two months. I am not a good math solver and could not focus on study without stop due to my job. But, I believe that if any smart students can shorten the period to hit Q50/51 within a month.

I remember Math Revolution offers extra tips and methods to achieve Q51/51 like common mistake types for DS and etc. I don't remember all. I had to learn and absorb the extra techniques for Q50/51.I expected maximum Q50. I finally achieved Q51. I think trusting and following their study guide is the best way to achieve the score you are expecting.
Hope this helps.
Thank You !

Thanks for the reply JayeonKim. Also I would like to ask your help for the verbal part of the gmat. Which course or courses did you take for the verbal ( sentence correction , critical reasoning , reading comprehension) and what was your score on the verbal. Hope to hear from you soon.

It was a bit spontaneous decision for me to prepare for MBA/MPA and take the GMAT - it was the beginning of May and I had absolutely no idea of what GMAT was like. After long hours of web research I found some very positive testimonials about Mr. Lee's Math Course and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be the best decision - his methodology was very precise, logical, and practical. After all it was just the right way to approach these problems (wasn't just a gimmick or cheap set of techniques). After three months of prep I was able to get the score I wanted - 50 for math. I honestly think it would've been possible without Mr. Lee's prep course.

I finally scored a 750 (Q48 V44) on the GMAT, after two less fortunate attempts. I started off with very mediocre quant skills (always thought of myself as being pretty OK at math) scoring between Q40-Q44 at my first official GMAC simulations (don't trust these too much). I felt devastated after scoring Q35 at my first exam but decided I needed a radical change to perform to the maximum of my capacity!

I came across Math Revolution in January, gave their free trial on their website a look and fell in love with their revolutionary approaches as I felt they could make a total difference on me (even though I had always been skeptical about online teaching). I completed their "All-in-1" course almost twice (I did skip some of the basic content the second time) in 3 months and got to Q48 on my last attempt.

The team's support, their Q&A section on every video, the "end of class screen shot" (useful to cover content faster) and the amazing video content on their platform, are some of the highlights of this company. Plus, the people behind are very friendly: JH Lim, the CEO, was always really approachable and supportive.

I couldn't recommend this course more to any of the GMAT Quant strugglers out there. Math Revolution is game changing. Best of luck!

I recently took the GMAT and scored a 720 Q50 V37. I would like to thank the Math Revolution team for the incredible content in terms of both concept and questions. The company is justice to its name - indeed a revolution in the Quant area of the test.

Math Revolution's 700 level question pack is an incredible collection of actual GMAT like questions. The course is designed in such a way that even a Quant novice can have concept clarity by diligently following the study plan. Several tactics and methods are unique and nowhere to be found on the internet or Quant reference books. These methods will not only increase Quant efficiency but also improve the timing aspect in the test. GMAT test takers will highly benefit by enrolling for the courses offered my Math revolution; I highly recommend both On-demand course and 700+ question pack. Please do not think twice before enrolling for the course - the course is worth every penny of your investment.

I would also like to emphasize on the online support provided to test takers via email within hours. All your queries will be addressed with 24 hours; the staff treats everyone with lot of respect and understanding.

All the best to all prospective GMAT test takers.

Thank you Math Revolution Team !

I would not be able to score 49 in my second attempt and later scored 51 in my fourth attempt without Math Revolution's All-In-One 51 course. with Max's ingenious approach to DS problem set, I was able to take GMAT with more confidence and with more relaxed attitude.

As a kid, I struggled most with mathematics and, as a GMAT prep newbie, I found a hard time understanding underlying logics of DS. However, with Max's All-In-One 51 course, I could have broken out from my comfort zone and ace the test.

I strongly recommend Math Revolution and Max's approach to everyone who prepares for cracking GMAT. It would be a great guidance and beacon to cracking GMAT. Thank you Max and Math Revolution for such great results and I wish everyone with luck!!

I heard about this course from a friend of mine. I was inclined t take offline GMAT courses and was sort of doubted about taking courses online. However, without doubt, the course provided all I needed to combat the quant section of GMAT. The course comes up with clean solution and problem sets and a greatest kick is the online selections that can be repeated anytime under any circumstances. Even though I was bombed in math during my college years, the course helped me overcome that fear and eventually, my math score improved over 200 points. If you find yourself fallen behind in math, then I definitely recommend this course. this course is basically what and all you need to combat the quantitative section of GMAT.

I raised my score from 30 to 45 and feel that could have achieved a higher score if I had more time to study. I started with Kaplan then did a Manhattan prep course but there was no way of improving my Quant. The problem was that I had not had any maths for the last 12 years, thus, my maths skills were so low that I did not take advantage of any course . After many tutoring sessions with Hee Jean (and many months of study) I finally re-learned maths almost from scratch and started feeling confident that I could get a high score high in the Quant section. As I said before I got a 45 and I am absolutely convinced that with some more study I could have achieved at least 47-48. Therefore, I strongly recommend tutoring with Hee Jean for people with maths skills. Re-leaning everything will be a painful and time consuming process but there are no silver bullets.

I took my first exam and scored Q49 which was just very amazing. My math was terrible so the score really surprised me, in a very, very good way. (Last time I took the mock-test I got a 33 and there were times when I scored less than 20.). When I first started studying for GMAT, I told myself "Max Lee, a founder of Math Revolution, is the God of GMAT and I will only trust and follow their words." I studied with your videos after work and it was well worth it! I could feel my math improving as it took less and less time to solve each problems. It took me 4-5 hours to finish the first prep paper you gave us which had 37 questions. But my problem solving speed grew exponentially faster. Your Variable approach for DS is really revolutionary in terms of solving problems quickly and easily, and it is big time saving. I highly recommend all students who are preparing for GMAT to take your course. I recommend them to trust their videos and follow their words. The tips you gave us while watching videos were especially useful. To be honest, I feel I have a lot of room for improvement in my math skills. But with your tips I was able to score such a high score.
For example there was one PS question. The logic was simple but the calculation was complicated and would have taken more than 5 minutes. So I boldly passed the question as I learned. Then the next question I got was a Key Question which I could solve in seconds using the methods you taught us. I respect your tremendous amount of experience on GMAT and it would be a fool of anyone to not listen to your teachings. I am grateful that I was able GMAT within such short period of time. I wish them all a very good luck in their future.

Before Math Revolution, I was barely able to inch above q47-q48 on my practice tests. After taking the course, I scored Q49 on my practice tests with ease, eventually obtaining a Q50 on the real exam. Before taking Math Revolution, I used both Manhattan GMAT and GMATPill, but I was unable to secure the quant score I needed to get into competitive programs. The Variable Approach and Ivy Approach taught by the course was just what I needed to strategize on how to tackle each problem. Just be diligent with the videos and follow all of their methods. Good luck!

I re-took the GMAT test about 3 weeks ago and I had a 90 points boost. I would attribute this successful boost to the concepts and problem-solving as well as Data sufficiency approach that I learned from Math Revolution course. The variable approach is a time saver and allowed me to solve many DS questions without wasting time. In my previous GMAT attempt, DS took a chunk of the time, and as a result I ended up running out of time and guessing on the last 10 questions. The variable approach method allowed me to narrow my answer option down to at least 2 options without wasting too much time. Without employing this approach, it would have been nearly impossible to increase my quant score, an increase that ultimately raised my overall GMAT score. I highly recommend the Math Revolution course.
