I have used almost every available GMAT test prep material our there, and I can say, without a doubt, that VP stands above the rest.

Not only are their materials fantastic (and, in my opinion, the most similar to GMATPrep), but their employees and customer service are top notch. They genuinely care about your individual success and that made all the difference for me.

I sat for the GMAT 5 times, starting with a baseline score of 490. My last take was a 760 (99th percentile). I was not only admitted into my choice school, but I have been contacted by choice consulting firms.

If I had to describe VP (and not just their test prep, but their other services as well) in a word: Life-changing.

This was incredibly encouraging/inspiring. I'm curious over what period of time did you achieve that difference in score

Veritas Prep is an amazing GMAT prep experience. It is evident that the organization gave careful thought to the structure of their student experience, from the sales experience, to the comprehensive online student portal, to the creative (and sometimes appropriately wacky) teachers. During the sales experience, I spoke with someone over the phone and he quickly answered all of my questions and then some. He also followed up diligently and concierged me into the experience (I purchased the package about two or three weeks before the course started and the sales associate helped me get up and running during that lead up time).

Once you enroll, Veritas Prep gives you access to an online student portal that houses a study plan, practice tests, practice problems, videos and recordings of your class. I found this one-stop shop very intuitive and helpful to help organize my efforts (because we all know that GMAT studying can go in multiple different directions). They also sent me 12 dense lesson books; spend the time to read through them, they have some good content in there. I really liked the philosophy of Veritas Prep (focus on strategy and reasoning, rather than content memorization). A previous course that I took did not touch on strategy at all and I think that's what prevented me from realizing my fullest potential.

I took an online live class with a teacher by the name of Ethan Todras-Whitehill. He is a little bit out there, but at the same time, you almost need someone like that to help bring the content to life, engrain it in your mind so come test day you remember certain techniques. The classroom environment he created was extremely collaborative (I've never taken an online course before, so I was pretty impressed with the technology as well). Ethan also went 'off-book' at points, supplementing the prescribed Veritas Prep material with his own creative slides to help further enforce the strategy and content. Ethan also focuses more on strategy and helps you understand why strategy is so important on the GMAT. At first I didn't trust some of the strategies, but once I gave them a try, I became a believer....THEY WORK! It's evident that Ethan has invested additional time to facilitate a robust learning experience, which I can say was effective at engaging me and keeping me coming back for more.

All in all, i'm in believer in Veritas Prep and would highly recommend the course.

I took the Veritas Live Online Course and it was absolutely fantastic. Even being in the UK, it felt like I was a part of the classroom environment -- the interaction with other students, the TA (Ron!) and Ravi was excellent. The curriculum and material is intense but approachable and really helped prepare for the exam itself.

That being said, the real differentiator for me is the instructor, Ravi. I can honestly say he is one of the best teachers I have ever had, hands down. His non-stop enthusiasm, straight-shooting feedback, and clear teaching style made this class thoroughly enjoyable and, more importantly, an extremely worthwhile use of time. I got myself into a jam on the Quant section on test day and it was Ravi's key takeaways ("look for the door", "narrow down the answer choices") that guided me back on track!

Overall, I would definitely recommend Veritas to anyone but if you're looking for "99th percentile or bust" you HAVE to take the course with Ravi!!

I had a great experience with Chris's Live Online GMAT Prep course. The curriculum was very comprehensive and included everything you need to know for the test. In addition, the in-class instruction was excellent. Chris covered ways to approach questions on different parts of the exam, commonly missed question types, and strategies to ace the most difficult questions. In addition, he made class both engaging and enjoyable even after a long day of work. The course helped me improve my score from a 690 before I started studying to a 770 on test day! I would recommend Chris’s course to anyone looking for effective GMAT Prep instruction.

I decided to take the Veritas Online prep course with Ravi Sreerama in order to prepare myself for the GMAT. My location did not allow me to attend an in-person class, so I decided to take the online course instead. This was a fantastic decision because I was able to get the in-class feel while studying online at home.

Ravi Sreerama was my instructor and was fantastic. He keeps the class engaged and motivated with his down to earth personality. He teaches brilliant tactics to truly be a 99'er (99th percentile) week after week. The Veritas course design is great, but he was what really made the difference. I looked forward to attending his class on the weekends which kept me engaged throughout the 6 week journey. Ravi is a no BS kinda guy who demands perfection from his students. Taking his class has taught me to constantly look for shortcuts and think like the test maker. While many other teachers may teach the same material, Ravi really drove it home to me because of his personality and teaching method. It was easy to follow along even during the dreaded sentence correction section.

Many thanks to Ravi for the experience!

I worked with David for about two months; he was extremely helpful throughout my GMAT process and acted not only as my private tutor, but also as an invaluable support system. The GMAT is a mental game of sorts in which you may often find yourself questioning your abilities and progression. David always gave me more confidence and genuinely cared about my success, a trait that many tutors don’t have. David also provided me with multiple resources to help me attack my weaknesses and was extremely flexible with his schedule.

If you are in the market for private tutoring with someone who will guide and support you throughout your GMAT journey, look no further than David Newland.

So I have been out of school for 13 years, but applying to PhD programs so needed to take the GMAT. I read all the Veritas reviews which were excellent and that Ravi was the best of the best. After taking the course, I strongly agree with both. With one little caveat: definitely brush up on the basics before taking this course. If someone is scoring in the low to mid 500's, I'm not sure this would be the best course. I was a little rusty in some areas, especially in the math section and would have to go back after the class and try and figure out what was discussed. I took the GMAT a month after finishing the class and got a 620. I bought a Princeton Review "Cracking the GMAT" book and studied a lot from that to brush up on the basics and reviewed my Veritas notes and got a 690 the second time. In hindsight, I wish I bought that book first, took some practice tests and got my score in the low to mid 600 range and then took the Veritas class and I feel like that would've pushed me over the 700 mark. As far as teachers, Ravi was fantastic. Charismatic, engaging guy. Makes somewhat tedious material much more interesting. Again, he moves pretty quick though so you want to have a solid grasp of the material going into the class. That said, highly recommend Veritas and especially Ravi.

I took the GMAT prep course from Veritas Prep live online course, taught by Ravi Sreerama. I had my doubts initially about taking an online course. This was the first time I have ever done a course online and I wondered if I lacked the motivation. All of my fears were dispelled by the tenacity of the teacher. Ravi pushes every student to do their personal best. I did incredibly well for myself, right at the median for the low acceptance rate program I am looking at. However, in the true Ravi spirit, I will be re taking the exam at the beginning of April.

I purchased the in person tutoring, live online, and admissions essay consulting packages from Veritas. This review is only for the live online course.

First off, kudos to the Veritas Prep team for having great customer service. After taking a live online course and tutoring, I took the official GMAT and was not blown away by the score. They let me retake the live online course ~6months later free of charge, and was able to start a class two days after I called. The price tag on Veritas may be hefty, but you get what you pay for- lots of support and a quality education.

My live online retake was with Ravi in Feb. 2017 - and it couldn't have gone any better. His tough love teaching tactics worked well for me - I definitely heard his voice throughout my second official test warning me not to fall for the trap answer. He makes you paranoid, but in a good way :) Classes were fun and engaging, and he expects a lot out of everyone in the class - and will let you know if you're not measuring up. Sounds scary - its not - it really works. I went from a 560 to a 640, and my goal was 600. Ravi encourages everyone to hit 700 or bust, but I was elated to have my 640. If I do retake, it will for sure be with Ravi.

I would highly recommend Veritas Prep to anyone who is serious about nailing the GMAT, and would recommend Ravi as the best teacher of the live online course.

I set an ambitious goal (740+) before enrolling in the class and was able to achieve it thanks to Chris and the Veritas curriculum. Pre-course, I had relied on excel and a calculator for virtually all math since graduating college, so my skills were embarrassingly rusty. The Veritas skillbuilders helped get my basic skills back in order and the course did a great job of getting me prepared for the test. On verbal I was impressed at how Veritas makes you understand what actually matters for the test, rather than memorizing pages and pages of grammar rules. Chris is a pro's pro and I couldn't possibly recommend this course enough.
