Hi all, my GMAT appointments for the year are as follows -
1. GMAT Classic, Test Center - November 22nd 2023
2. GMAT Classic, Online - December 24th 2023
My latest score is a 630 after severely bombing the quant section, Q40 (6 official Mocks were consistently Q45+). I want to retake the exam as soon as possible, per my understanding GMAC changed the policy around number of days between appointments to be applicable to all formats (Classic/Focus/Online/Test Center) so now the earliest I can schedule an appointment (online or test center) is 9th of January.
But, I am able to see available dates for a test center appointment on the 26th of December 2023 - Just want to make sure I'd actually be allowed to take the exam, don't want to risk losing 250$

Hi. This is unusual. For the last 6 to 9 months, you can only schedule one test within 16 days for the classic GMAT regardless of whether it is online or at the test center. Prior to March, you were able to take them independently. Sometimes people have been able to schedule them more frequently but usually one of the appointments would get canceled.
So your guess is as good as mine but I don’t think you’ll be able to take the test before the 16 day cooled down expires… previously, you weren’t able to schedule more than one test but that also has changed some time in the last 3 to 4 months.
And unfortunately these policy changes are not announced and we only learn about them kind of by chance through people posting.
