2.4 GPA - 760 GMAT - Startup - S&T -- Chances for m7? 07 Apr 2016, 11:01

Would appreciate any help in regards to my chances of getting into a top 10 MBA Program:

Stats:
2.4 GPA (top 50 Uni - 4 years out of school)
760 GMAT
Started own NPO 501(c)3
Started own company during my senior year of college that grosses 2 m/yr and employs 5 people
Now in Sales and Trading at a large US bank

I know the GPA is low but how much will my GMAT, EC's, and work experience help offset it? Chances of getting into an M7?

I'm waitlisted to Kellogg with a 2.6 gpa in undergrad and 750 gmat. So you've got a shot.

But like they say each application is a little different. I've been out of school quite a bit longer than 4 years, but I also started a small nfp.

Just browse the discussions of all schools - on the main page you will see a chart
calling-all-sloan-mit-applicants-2016-intake-class-of-199975.html

You will see what GPA people had and what their chances were. Granted that's not 100% of applicants, that's many of the GMAT Club members. The chances are not great, I will be honest. They are bad actually, but not impossible. You can find a few discussions about the topic- here is an older but more complete one: low-undergrad-gpa-success-stories-79977.html - people are bitching about 2.99 being low and 3.19 being low - you get the gist.

2.4 is going to require major effort to get into top 20 (you will need a good consultant, start working now to improve your profile). GMAT alone won't be enough to off-set that 2.4 number. You need to demonstrate maturity, commitment, and responsibility.
