haha,
I wasn't nervous at all about interview invites going out, and actually forgot that today could be the day. But as I got caught up on the forums this morning, every consecutive post on the last LGO page made me more and more nervous. Now I am going crazy! I was just fine a few hours ago!
This GMAT club thing might be an unhealthy habit for me :) I might need to block this website when March rolls around so I can focus at work and avoid ulcers.

good luck everyone

hahaha .. better option, try not to check every post update, they won't send an e-mail after that untill you re-check the posts :) I am doing the same

I doubt it, not for me at least. And we'd probably hear about it on the boards within 2 minutes of emails going out.

My guess now is Monday :)

Do we think we have enough of a sample size on this board to know when invites go out?

If only 300 people apply, and about 100 are invited to interview, I imagine we at least hear from 7 people on the board getting an invite, not to mention a few people not yet registered who will come here to ask questions before their interviews.

but like they said: invites are issued between now and all the way up to the admission date, so some that don't hear back next week might still get an invite later on.

I am 100% sure that invites have not been sent. Relax for the weekend, I am sure that we will hear something before Wednesday due to the logistics of planning the whole travel thing: though the LGO process is quick and swift on its own, giving people less than 20 days for buying tickets and hotels is not something that Adcoms would do.

I used similar numbers. If we assume only 20 people are here, including lurkers, and that anyone who received an invite would post it, the probability that no one here received an invite is incredibly small: (I assumed independence to simplify, it's fairly close to independent)

\((\frac{2}{3})^2^0 = .03%\)

We can be 99.97% confident that invites have not been sent out, yet. That's high enough for me to rest easy.

Haha yes! Nice job :)
This is exactly the type of reply I was expecting from a MIT applicant

I haven't posted yet- Mostly a lurker, but that post made me so happy, I love it! I knew that I would like the kinds of people who are applying to this program. Good luck to everyone!

I sure hope today is the day; I can’t take much more of this waiting. My productivity at work has dropped because I’m distracted by the anticipation.

Combo you can say that again. Last year, emails went out around 10am and the year before that it appears they were sent closer to 5pm. I sure hope to get an email before 5pm.

It's already 4 PM on the east coast...looking like we might have to wait at least one more day.

I'm imagining all of us in a hospital waiting room, pacing back and forth nervously waiting for either good or bad news...

This has completely thrown me off. I seriously expected invites to come out on wednesday or Friday last year, and when I didnt see them on friday I thought for sure today was the day.

Could there be way more applicants this year and thats why they are taking so long?

I would love to see whats happening in the LGO office right now...

Well the students and some faculty just started the domestic plant trek yesterday so maybe the program staff was tied up with that for the past few days. Hopefully today we hear.
