My name is Bob and I'm a first year student in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations program. If you're new to the program, LGO is a two-year, dual-degree MBA/MS Engineering program founded at MIT between the Sloan School of Management and the School of Engineering. LGO is focused on educating technically-polished future business leaders to solve tomorrow's operations challenges. I am starting this thread with a few classmates to help answer some questions, to familiarize you with the program, and to let you know what being a student at MIT/Sloan is really like. Very difficult to know the international applicant pool brau0300. They don't provide this data (Leah of admissions, said they don't maintain this data)

The wait to hear about interview invites is so long, I can’t imagine what the wait for the decision will feel like.

Let's all hope the big wave of emails comes out by this Friday.

A few thoughts: I looked back at the messages posted in 2010 and the interview invitations were sent via email on the first Wednesday of 2010 towards the end of the day. Last year they were sent out via email at around 10 am on the first Friday. I wonder when the invitations will go out this year. To those who receive invites please be kind and post so we know whether or not invitations have gone out I am a bit surprised that the first page of this thread only shows 14 LGO applicants. I certainly hope that we have more than just 14 applicants participating in this thread. With only 14 it would be possible, althought unlikely, that none get an invite. Happy New Year to all.

There are far more than just 14 applicants in this thread, is just that they lurk around without posting anything until there is some action: when invites come out, I am sure that we will here from them in here.

I agree, it's likely we'll know within a few hours when the invites start going out. That's why my heart jumps every time my email lets me know this thread was posted in.
