You will receive a feedback from Peter Johnson if you are encouraged to apply. Please note that encouragement does not guarantee a place on the Programme, as CV is only a part of application, however it might save you enormous amount of time and efforts in case if you are not ready for the Programme yet. Personal experience: I applied for this service in 2008 and was advised to gain more experience before application, did so, applied again in 2012, was encouraged, passed through the selection process and now I'm here. I have 1 question- are the interviews blind? i.e. does the interviewer have our application (essays, etc) with him? I've mine on 21st and would like a quick reply

He or she will receive and know your application essays.

Hi,may I ask the current students of MiF that does MiF provide the same opportunities for the summer internship as MBAs? I see in the MBA page that all of them have had internships and 80% of them arranged it thru the career service. I am just wondering does MiF have the same?

Hello!

I don't think they know it yet as this is the first year that the programme runs for 10/16 months. Plus they have to decide until Jan/Feb to stay in the programme for the fourth term. As far as I know interviews for internships take place around January. But I would imagine MiFs receive the same support from career service to secure internships as MBAs do, otherwise what's the big deal about the fourth term? Career service places 400 MBA students each year so they should cope with placing 50-60 more to finance jobs. (My personal guess is that around 50-60 students out of 120 will go for the fourth term as roughly 1/4 of them are company sponsored and another 1/4 simply will not choose this option for whatever reason.)

This is correct. The internship program for MiF students choosing the 4th term is roughly the same. It would be hard to say for sure that we receive the "same" support, since it's the first year of the 4th term and everyone is still figuring out how it will work, but the intention is certainly there. The internship recruiting process really begins in the first week of January so we will know more in a month or so.

I would be interested in the 2012 Employment report for MiFs... It's almost 2013 while the previous class graduated in June 2012...

There is not a formal employment report available yet. I'm not really sure on what schedule they produce the reports but the most recent one that I've seen is the one on the public website.

had my interview recently with an alum. Absolutely nice guy, the conversation was very informal and friendly. Now, will have to wait till January though for the final decision due to holidays.

B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Total Experience: 4+ years till date (including 3+ years of post MBA experience in consulting)

Firms worked for: TCS (prior to MBA); Deloitte (Technology Strategy), McKinsey (Implementation Group) & KPMG (Strategy) after MBA

GMAT: Yet to take (Expecting 720+)

Extracurriculars: Former 'State level' tennis player, Have a couple of freelance consulting project experience etc.

I want an MiF for a more thorough grounding in Corporate Finance (needed for my work as a strategy consultant)

Your question is fine here, but read the thread first. LBS reviews / pre-screens applicants' CVs and will tell you whether you should go on and apply for MiF or not. It's not important what we think about your background here, if you have doubts ask them directly. Anyway, all this information is on the website, so read the website even before this thread!
