Work experience: educator for past 6 years at Title I school
excellent LORs where I'm credited with transforming a school under state supervision into one of the top schools in large school district (close to 100 campuses)
earned numerous employment awards and recognitions (campus and district)
several leadership roles, including mentoring and evaluating peers
My concern is that my work experience as an educator could hurt me given that many applicants to business schools have WE in finance, etc.
Other facts
Mexican American, moved to US at age 10
first in family to graduate from high school, college
graduated in 2 1/2 years from a top public university while working full time
What schools should I apply to?

Hey man,
Nonsense! I know that can be a concern, but just think about it this way: how many finance folks can a program possibly admit? Can you imagine how those classes would be if everyone in them had a finance background? I shudder at the thought!
I like your GPA, I like your GMAT, I like your work experience, and, more than anything, I like the IMPACT you made during your work experience.
Also, you worked full time while going to school - that tells me (and a future adcom) a lot about your passions, drive, and characters.
Look, the short answer here is you're good to go!
Your work experience as an educator is not a point for concern. It is a differentiator. So embrace it and make it the cornerstone of your application. You have a lot of great experiences to pull from that'll help your application stand out from the thousands of others.
