Not quiet the charm. I just completed my GMAT a couple of hours ago. I got a 660(Q-50, V-29). I wish there was no one to annoy me during my last few questions. People were coming in.. it was very distracting.
I wish I had discovered this website a little earlier. I was lucky enough to have picked up a couple of pointers on how to tackle the AWA section here. I was hoping to get a better score but I guess it's ok for now...
I took almost every free test that was being offered. This site had a whole bunch of links to them. I have been in the IT industry for 4 years now and have been a business analyst for the last 2 years. I have worked across sectors. I quit work a couple of weeks back and now I'm going to study. I got 72.2% in college and majored in Production.
I took the GMAT for the first time in August 2010. I had to travel to Kerala to do it. I studied whenever I got a chance since I was working almost all the time back then. I didn't keep track of my mock GMAT scores but I didn't do too many tests back then. I used a lot of tutorials that I found online and almost ignored the official guide. I really did feel sleepy by the time I reached the verbal section.
I took the GMAT again today almost over a year later. This time around it was more like the last time i wanted to do my GMAT. I quit work and had 15 full days to prepare for the GMAT. I did quiet a few full length tests in the morning [i didn't feel sleepy at all this time around!] I tried to stick to the OG as far as possible, did the GMAT exam from mba.com around 3 times each. The
manhattan GMAT exam was a pretty decent way to gauge my progress as well. The veritas online test was pretty hard on scoring and I really did not like it. I got a 640[Q-45,V-22] or something like that. Some wrote here that the test is not very accurate. Being the last test that I had done, I was hoping so as well. I was hoping to cross the 700 mark this time and land at around 720 but I was cut short by a 29 in verbal and ended up with 660.

I'm not sure if i'm the right person to be giving tips out as it evidently didn't work for me but I shall let you know if there's an update.
Hope you guys do better than I did. Best of luck.
