Thank you for posting & sharing your story.

I can relate to, and idenify with, your story.

I've been studying like a man possessed since December and am aiming to write the real deal in the first half of May. Today I did my first legit GMATprep test. 620. I was pissed. I havent put in this much effort for a sub-700 score. I hate my job and I've totally put off looking for another one to sink every ounce of energy I have to dominating this test. I need a great score to justify the time I spent prepping for it. So this, in conjunction with my incredible talent for astoundingly stupid small mistakes, left me f***ing angry. I went for a drive for almost two hours to calm down. I just found your post now, and its incredibly reassuring to know that others are going through the same thing and are still having success.

Again, great post. All the best.

Great post!

After reading quite a few debriefs where people ended up with official scores much lower than their practice CAT's, I was starting to get discouraged. My practice scores are not impressive. But your experience is motivating, to say the least!

What preparation materials did you use? Also, did you focus more on improving your Math/Verbal fundamentals or more on grinding out practice questions/tests?

Congratulations on a great score. I hope you're able to enter into the grad school of you choice with ease!
