Hi All,
I wrote GMAT yesterday and got (for me) a dismal 670 (Q47, V35)
Following were my mock test scores:
GMAT Prep Test 1 (Attempt 1, about an year back without any prep): 680 (apologies I dont have the sectional scores)
GMAT Prep Test 1 (Attempt 2, last week in the worst exam conditions possible): 640(Q48, V31)
GMAT Prep Test 2 (Attempt 1, last week): 710(Q49, V38)
Can't say I was thoroughly prepared thanks to project commitments at my current job which kept in office nearly all day..(oh ya, I'm yet another IT engineer)..
I feel there is a need to score 720+ with my not-at-all-uncommon profile to land into one of the top B-schools but having covered the MGAT guides and OG13 already, it would be really helpful if someone can assist me device a study plan.
I went through
bb 's suggested study plan but thought of talking things through before I start my preparation. Should I go through the
MGMAT books again and buy the OG for verbal and quants or there are other approaches I should consider ?
There are three possible paths I can foresee to take things forward:
1) Go by my preference of retaking the GMAT with a couple of months of self-preparation (ensuring 2-3 hours weekday and 6-8 hours weekend study) and target fall 2016.
2) Join a professional GMAT training institute/course, retake in a couple of months and target fall 2016.
(suggestions on a institutes in Bangalore are welcome)
3) Pursue the current score by investing effort in SOPs and recommendations and target spring 2016.
Apologies for the rather long post but I need to be sure I channelize my efforts in the right direction for optimum results.
P.S.- Copied the latter half of the above sentence from the many unwanted words of wisdom showered on me at work

Thanks in advance for all the replies.
