hey, can you tell how question in each section you answered correctly?
Matt0415
Hi all,

I finished the GMAT a few weeks ago and wanted to share my experience.

Starting Phase
I decided last year that I wanted to apply to MBA programs in 2025 and 2026. Initially, I was choosing between the GRE and the GMAT. Eventually, I decided to go with the GMAT.
I began my prep by using only the question bank provided by GMAT, studying roughly 10 hours a week for about four weeks.

First GMAT: 555 (Q86, V79, D68)
The result of my first GMAT was a wake-up call. I realized I needed to prepare longer and more thoroughly for the next attempt.
I hadn’t taken any mock tests prior to this, which was a big mistake. I struggled with time management—especially in the Verbal and Data Insights sections—and even missed answering the last two questions in DI.

Between Tests (About 40 Days)
The day after my first GMAT, I signed up for Target Test Prep (TTP) after doing some research online. I focused primarily on the Verbal Reading chapters, which helped me dig deeper into the reasoning behind each question rather than relying on gut instinct. I also reviewed the DI reading sections to better familiarize myself with the types of questions to expect.

Second GMAT: 605 (Q79, V80, D81)
This result was understandably disappointing. I had completed two official GMAC mock tests before the exam, scoring 635 and 655, so I had expected a better outcome.
I didn’t perform as planned on the Quant section—probably due to carelessness and finishing it too quickly.

Between Tests (About 16 Days)
With the application deadline approaching, I scheduled my final attempt. Based on my scores from the first two tests, I knew I had the potential to do well in Quant and DI.
During these 16 days, I reviewed only the concepts I was most uncomfortable with. More importantly, I focused on staying relaxed and maintaining a positive mindset.

Final GMAT: 685 (Q90, V83, D79)
This time, I took the test online, as I couldn’t find a suitable test center date. I simply logged in, stayed calm, and didn’t overthink

Final Takeaway
It was a bumpy ride, but trust the process, know your worth, and be patient. The results will come in the end.

Hi Matt0415,

Congrats on closing out your GMAT journey with such a great score!

It’s inspiring how you adjusted your approach after each attempt, and it’s clear that digging into reasoning skills and mindset made a real difference. We’re thrilled that TTP could play a role in your success and help you make that final push to 685.
