My 7-month long journey has finished today: I took the test for the 3rd time and got 700. Good score? Not really - check my 'progress':
Feb: 690 (47/38) AWA 6
Apr: 710 (49/38) AWA 6 < two months of preparation focusing only on verbal
May: 700 (47/38) AWA ? < one month of preparation focusing only on verbal
Interesting observations:
- the same split 47/38 results in two different scores: 690 and 700
- despite total 7 months of verbal study, my verbal score did not move a dime...
Anyhow, my GMAT journey is over, I'll see you in the TOEFL and applications forums!

Its a pity that you didn't improve verbal at all with the efforts you put in.
Would you mind sharing with us, how you prepared the verbal part? what material you used? what do think could the reasons that you didnt improve? i am sure it will be helpful for us !;) thank you
