OK, so I just retook the GMAT. I scored a 690, which is a big jump from my initial 640. Although I'm in the 670 - 710 score range, I'm not sure what to think. Here are the reasons for my confusion:
-First time I took the test I was crushed, now I am feeling better since I am in the competitive range
-I pooled ALL my effort for the verbal section on the retake and did minor practice on the quantitative section. I usually received a 38-41 quant and 37-39 verbal, but for reasons unknown I score 50 quant and 31 verbal o_O
I am looking to go to NYU Stern and was hoping to get out of the science field into the business field (accounting->CPA is my career path). I have read that 690 is a good score, but I'm not sure if spending another 250 dollars for a 3rd retake is worth the 10-20 points or so (especially since I jumped 10 points above the expected quant). Suggestions?
