Hi I just sat in the GMAT earlier today and received 690 (Q49V34) IR 1.
I am looking into the possibility to apply to top schools like Kellogg or Wharton. I am planning to apply this upcoming second round.
This is my fourth time taking the exam and my scores are as follow:
1. Unreported (2014)
2. June 2015 - 610 (Q44 V31) IR6
3. September 2015 - 620 (Q47 V28) IR2
4. October 2015 - 690 (Q49 V34) IR1
My profile:
- Top international business program in Thailand with 3.51 GPA
- Active member of youth organization and social work
- Active alumni still helping out with school activities
- President of International Case Comp back in uni (and core team of several student activities)
- Work experience 4 yrs in marketing consulting firm (role: analysis, coaching, and project management)
Should I retake my GMAT?? Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Hi altermative,
First off, a 690/Q49 is a fantastic score (it's just shy of the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Schools that interest you. You've named some highly competitive Programs, though, so you have to make sure that you have a strong OVERALL application AND that you present yourself correctly. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions right, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

Hi altermative,
That is a good score and your perseverance is commendable.
Regarding the IR, schools have stated that they do not look at the IR scores.
You can do a bit of research and connect with the ADCOM of the listed schools to find out if they look at the IR or not.
However I think you should focus on other aspects of your profile now. Your GMAT falls in the mid 80% of the range of the schools that you have listed.
Also, seeing 5 attempts might or might not bode well with the ADCOM if certain aspects of your profile are not strong enough.
I see that you have a strong profile and if you can enhance it further, you should be fine.
