690 Score.. Where do i apply?

Hi, I scored 690 on my Gmat today, it was my second attempt. I have 6.5 years of overall experience and 2.5 years of leadership experience. Do i stand a change of getting an admin in universities such as oxford, Cambridge or LBS?

Your post is missing essential details pertaining to your background, achievements, and future goals; having said the above, even though schools evaluate profiles holistically, a 690 on the GMAT would be an under-average score for Indian male candidates applying to schools such as Oxford, Cambridge, and LBS (LBS would be fairly unreachable, in fact); with time at hand, we strongly recommend that you re-take the GMAT to have a much better chance at making it to your target schools.

Thank you for your reply.

I am working in a subcontractor consulting firm with clients across US, Europe & Middle East. I am in a very client facing roles since last 6.5 years, currently I lead a team of 8 analysts and head EMEA (UK & Central) region, consisting of 15 team members, for my company.

The breakdown of my score is 690 (Q47V39) and this was my second attempt, in my first attempt I had scored 610 (Q47V29).

sbhatnagar1901 Things look good ... But more information would be desirable. Also, Chances will be better if you could push your GMAT score by 20 points and the key is Quant section.

What's your work location? Do you have international work experience? Do you have any professional Degree/certification? What's your GPA? WHich consulting firm are you working with?

I work for a subcontractor company of Medallia (World's best Customer experience management firm) which is in India. I have experience of working with people all across the globe (EMEA, US, APAC), I have worked from Medallia's London office for 9 months in 5 different trips. All my 6.5 years of experience is with this company which has grown from 10 people (at the time i joined) to 350 people now.

I have done Bachelors in Engineer (Information technology) and my GPA is 3.2 (I know its low but I have graduated from one of the toughest University of India). I scored 82% in my 10th and 12th grade.

Hello sbhatnagar1901 , For a school like LBS, you will ideally want to break into the 700s range on the GMAT. While you might have a chance at Oxford and Cambridge with your current score, I would still suggest working to maximize your score, particularly because your GPA is on the slightly lower side. Did your university use a 4.0 scale or did you convert it? As competition increases and acceptance rates fall, giving the GMAT a 3rd attempt to secure a stronger score will help to set you apart from the crowd.
