Hi alexturpie,
If getting a high GMAT was your end goal, please keep aiming for a perfect GMAT.

However, if you are doing this for proving your competence for the programs, you are well near the top of the pool of applicants. Provided your resume, essays and LORs are strong, you can be a good claimant for merit Scholarships (rare, but very possible). Feel free to send in your details for a free profile evaluation and advice.

Regards

I have just written the GMAT and got 770 (IR8, Q49, V48). Obviously I am thrilled with the overall score but my score is mainly due to my high performance on verbal. I am wondering if my relatively low quant score will lower my chances of getting into a top Masters in Financial Economics program.

My top schools are Oxford MFE, Columbia MFE, and U of T MFE, and am not sure whether I need to retake the exam with a higher quant in order to be competitive.

Appreciate any insights.
