A, B and C receive a fixed salary in a company. Salary of A is what percent less than salary of B?
What are we finding??
$$\frac{A-B}{B}*100=(\frac{A}{B}-1)*100$$

(1) C receives a salary which is $400 more than that of A and$200 less than that of B.
C=A+400=B-200..
We can just say that B is 600 more than A but cannot find relative%
Insuff

(2) C receives a salary which is 22.22..% more than that of A and 8.33..% less than that of B.
Note: we have something in %. Likelihood of getting % through it..
22.22 is 200/9 and 8.33=25/3...
If you are to find a value, use these fractions but here we have to answer just Yes or No..
C=122.22*A=(100-8.33)*B=91.67B
$$\frac{A}{B}=\frac{91.67}{122.22}.........$$..
..$$\frac{A}{B}-1=\frac{91.67}{122.22}-1.........$$
We can find what we are looking for..

A, B and C receive a fixed salary in a company.
Salary of A is what percent less than salary of B? : we need the ratio of Salary of A and B to answer.

(1) C receives a salary which is $400 more than that of A and$200 less than that of B.
The ration cant be determined as per conditions given.
eg. if C = 600, A=200 and B = 800
iF C = 10000, A = 9600, 10200 , the ratio/percentage cant be determined.

(2) C receives a salary which is 22.22..% more than that of A and 8.33..% less than that of B.
Here we can find the A salary in terms of C salary & B salary in terms of C salary.
Hence the ration of B salary and A salary can be found and hence the required percentage difference,
Sufficient.
