A certain retailer promotes merchandise by using the following policy:
At all times there is either a “manager’s sale” or a “holiday sale” or both going on. All sales are run for exactly one calendar month. In any given month, if a manager wishes to clear out a particular line of merchandise, then a manager’s sale is declared. Manager's sale = excess stock of a particular line of merchandise
Holiday sale = excess stock + holiday in that month
August = No holiday + no excess stock
August is an exception to the opening statement of the prompt because if the merchandise is always on sale this means that there is always excess stock that needs to be cleared, according to the prompt. Just the name of the sale changes.
Option E says, if there is no excess stock, then it is August.
IMO E
Manager's sale = excess stock of a particular line of merchandise
Holiday sale = excess stock + holiday in that month
August = No holiday + no excess stock
