Lets consider in dollar terms
Ticket revenue- 50$
Sponsorship- 13%
Concession-10$
Merchandise- 7$
Broadcast Fees- 20$

Hence, Total Revenue- 100$

Now, If broadcast fee doubles, then it will be 40$
So total revenue will become-
Ticket revenue- 50$
Sponsorship- 13%
Concession-10$
Merchandise- 7$
Broadcast Fee- 40$

Total Revenue is 120$

Hence Broadcast Fee/Total Revenue is 33%

GmatWiz07
B. If broadcast fees were to double, they'd go from 20% (out of 100) to a ratio of 40 out of 120 (remember that the entire pool would increase by +20, too), which is 1/3.

Why does the pool also increase by +20?

First Dropdown (Sponsorship Removed):

Total revenue without sponsorship: 100% - 13% = 87%.

Broadcast fees are 20%, but now they are out of the remaining 87%.

So, broadcast fees would then be 20%/87% * 100 ≈ 23% of the total revenue.

Second Dropdown (Broadcast Fees Doubled):

The new broadcast fee amount is 20% + 20% = 40%.

Total revenue would increase to 100% + 20% = 120%.

Broadcast fees as a percentage of the new total revenue = 40%/120% ≈ 33%.
