We have to select 4 restaurants from a total of 12 restaurants (order doesn't matter)
selecting 4 out of 12 = 12 C 4 = \(\frac{12!}{4!*8!}\) = 495
Correct answer - C

I know this might sound dumb and I understand why the answer is C, 495.
But could someone explain why it is not 11 880 : Considering that for:
Choice available for the first site: 12 options * Choice available for the second site: 11 options * Choice available for the third site: 10 options* Choice available for the 4th site: 9 options.
Therefore: 12*11*10*9 = 11 880 different ways to arrange the sites for the restaurant.
Thank you for your help !
