We are given a ratio and we need to find the NUMBER of americans.
S1. Note that this statement only gives the ratio.
eg . # of mexicans = 7 ; # of americans = 13
OR # of mexicans = 14 ; # of americans = 26

(2) less than 30 Mexicans do not tell us anything about Americans..not sufficient
on combining since all have to be + integer possible value of Mexicans less than 30 is 14,28 hence Americans can be 26 or 52
