For 37 seconds it produces 1184 units

so for minute(60 seconds)

(1184x60)/37 = 32 x 60 =1920.

We can also apply a bit of number sense here

GIVEN: Pump releases 1,184 units of helium in 37 seconds
This means the pump releases 2,368 units of helium in 74 seconds [if we double the time, we double the output]

We want to determine the volume of helium released in 60 seconds
Since 60 is a little bit less than 74, the output will be a little bit less than 2,368

Only answer choice C works.

Cheers,
Brent

Answer is C

1,184 units in 37 secs = 1184/37 units/sec (didn't bother to figure out the division)

For 1 min (or 60 secs), units of helium = 1184/37 x 60. Option C is the only answer with the unit value of 0 so I went for it and didn't bother to do the arithmetic.

In 37 seconds -> 1184, so will be slightly less than double in a minute -> 1920

(1184*60)/37= option C 1920

37sec- 1184 unit
60sec- x (how much)

x = (1184*60)/37

you can see that the numerator would have zero finally in answer. Only option C has the same. solved without even calculating anything

Thanks
