To weaken the above conclusion we have to prove the cause and effect relationship otherwise.
Cause: Poker
Effect: Risk taking tendency developed
Option A somewhat states that. However, there is word risk-loving in option A which was problematic but all the other options were not close. Therefore, option A won.

Your reasoning (and the answer) is sound, but bear in mind that, in order to weaken the conclusion, we do not really need to prove that the opposite is true. Any answer choice that casts doubt on the conclusion weakens the conclusion. In almost all the "weaken" questions, only one option out of five really does anything to do the weakening. That is why, if we see this question in an actual test, we should be confident enough to choose (A) without expending additional time and energy on the remaining four options, thus saving probably one minute. In practice time, though, it helps to review and confidently eliminate other options.
