A multiple choice test consists of 4 questions, and each question has 5 answer choices. In how many ways can the test be completed if every question is unanswered?

A) 24
B) 120
C) 625
D) 720
E) 1024

In my opinion the language of the question is poorly framed

The question should have mentioned whether each question needs to be answered or not

Because if the test doesn't require to attempt all the questions but requires atleast one question to be attempted then every question has 6 choices (5 options and one choice to leave it blank) the test can be finished in
(6*6*6*6)-1 = 1296-1 = 1295 ways

If all the questions are necessary to be answered then the test can be completed in
5*5*5*5 = 625 ways

Hello Team

How is the answer 625, if it has been asked no of ways questions unanswered?

Please suggest here
Thanks

Please read the language of question carefully

It says "In how many ways can the test be completed if every question is unanswered?"

So it says that the every question is unanswered.

It seems clear that the test writer meant to say "answered," not "unanswered." There is only one way to leave them all unanswered! :)
