Answer is A.
B,C & E are irrelevant. D doesn't make the argument flawed. Hence A.
OA please.

A psychologist is treating a patient with multiple personality disorder. One of the patient's personalities claims to be a blind Civil War veteran. When exhibiting this personality, the patient responds in the affirmative when asked, only in a written format, whether he is blind. None of the patient's other personalities claims to be blind. The psychologist concluded that the patient's personality is fragmented, and that the veteran personality claims to be blind, while another responds to the written question.

Asking which of the following questions can reveal a flaw in the psychologist's explanation?

A Why does the personality that answers the written question not answer 'No'?
B Why does the psychologist feel compelled to explain the patient's responses?
C Why doesn't another of the patient's personalities convince the veteran personality that he can see?
D Why does the veteran personality claim to be blind, but none of the other personalities make this claim?
E Why don't all the patient's personalities claim to be blind?

Quote:
The psychologist concluded that the patient's personality is fragmented, and that the veteran personality claims to be blind, while another responds to the written question.
From this part we get to know there is a difference in Fragmented personality and Multiple personality...

A careful reading of the stimulus is vital here, to find the difference between the Two,

Quote:
Multiple Personality : A state of mind in which the subject enters and acts as another person he is not.
Fragmented Personality : A state of mind in which the subject enters and Leaves a character.

Since here the Psychologist states that this is a case of Fragmented Personality , the other personality is expected to reply a negative ( that is he can see - when he actually does ) , but that isn't happening here...

So, Answer (A) is our flaw...

Similiar OG question to practice will be -

Hope this helps...

A. Why does the personality that answers the written question not answer “No”?

This question reveals a flaw in the psychologist's explanation. If the personalities are truly independent and fragmented, it's reasonable to wonder why the personality claiming to be a blind Civil War veteran doesn't answer "No" when asked if they are blind. If the personalities are distinct and not influenced by each other, the blind personality should be able to provide a different response. The fact that the blind personality consistently answers in the affirmative raises questions about the extent of the independence of these personalities, casting doubt on the psychologist's explanation
