D must be the answer.
A) wrong comparison, thriller and dramas must be compared with documentaries, not with lack of interest
B)wrong comparison , thriller and dramas must be compared with documentaries, not with many people
C)wrong, documentaries don't bring interest , people lack interest in them(as per original meaning )

option D has the part 'interested in watching thrillers and dramas' in between commas, which makes it a non-restrictive phrase. Hence here the meaning is many people are in general interested in watching thrillers and dramas.
Either remove the comma to make it a modifier or add a relative pronoun 'who' .
